It's not too late to sit on Santa's lap~
and tell him what you want~
what you really, really want~
Don't be shy~
Santa's not shy so you shouldn't be~
shut up, I can so count...
Went to the org party last night.
Overall, there wasn't anything out of the ordinary in last night's X-mas party. There's free food, random awards, and scandalous games, but nothing really fancy (in the context of the org, of course).
akutenshi_13 provided most of the lulz for the really "tanders" (<= batch 2th) table. No, wait, the bottle of Mountain Dew is also partially to blame for the lulz.
--
Left the venue a little after Chelli's arrival and proceeded to crash over at Jojo and
maedinn's place.
Dunno what Chelli, Shari, and Cats were doing downstairs, but Jojo and I got tofix a busted TV box play Dynasty Warriors: Gundam for a couple of hours upstairs.
Left at around 3:10 AM to do something.
--
As a side note, I'd like to promote the thrill ride called "Flying EDSA Bus":
- Cheap! Only P35 for Philcoa to FTI! (downside: thrill ride is only 35 minutes long, "stops" counted)
- Exciting! Experience the thrill of swerving through EDSA traffic in a large unbalanced vehicle at around 100Km/h! Feel the wind at your face through the unclosable windows! and "Seatbelts? What seatbelts?"
- Free Bonus Feature! Once in every few rides, lucky riders get a chance to engage in psy-war with celphone snatchers or (if they're really lucky) armed robbers! Make them call off their hit by performing a variety of techniques to increase the perceived risk; if you fail, you lose your stuff!

THE VOLTAGGIO BROTHERS
I love how the show totally feeds on their brotherly love/rivalry, the epic bitching, the epic older brother/younger brother insecurities, the childhood memories, the whole "I WANT TO BEAT MY BROTHER BUT I ALSO LOVE HIM SO MUCH SO NO ONE'S ALLOWED TO DEFEAT HIM BUT ME" I love how fucking stereotypical it is but I still fell for it...
The older brother: BRYAN VOLTAGGIO
Calm, collected, responsible
The younger brother: MICHAEL VOLTAGGIO
The risk-taker, temperamental, snarky
Now they're making their own business ventures, TOGETHER! VOLTAGGIOBROTHERS.COM has all their blog posts, recipes, and future plans. :P Bryan is such a sap -- read his blogs!
FUCK THEY ARE SO HHHHHOT asfagbaghag; Oh wait, there's another reason I watch Top Chef! Because of the food! Yeah, that's right! Delicious
I also have So You Think You Can Dance on my current watchlist. For j-dramas I watched the season finales of Untouchable and Ohitorisama (Teppei bend over the table and let me FUCK you, now) and I've been rewatching Taiwan's Meteor Garden because I STILL BELIEVE IT'S THE BEST THING EVER. Nakakailang bote ba ang isang tao after ng isang malupit break-up?
*as in yung pinakamamahal mo

But I want you to know that there's always a chance for us". This is known as the "I Hate You / I Love You" drunken phone call, that 99% of all men have made at least once.
Basta tandaan,MARAMI PA DIYAN. At kung feeling mo ay kayo talaga ang para sa isa't isa, hintayin mo lang at babalik rin sya sa iyo. Have a nice Break-Up

I forgot to mention this in my previous post.
It's the Christmas season and all with me still severely lacking in funds. That said, I'd still like to offer you guys something. So! I am here to present my meager drawing skills at your disposal. Akin to
mushroom18 's gift-art project, place a request here and I'll do my damnest to make it for you.
I can also make you guys a Tokio Hotel Starter Kit if you prefer it. I CD/DVD full of music, videos and photos, even fics for those who want them. It's my most prevalent fandom as of the moment, so I really have a lot of shit stored. I promise you guys, the shiney gay they exude will lift up your Christmas spirits!
Anyway, I have to get the day started. Fitting in the grocery, the Lantern Parade, and flying off to

I just told The Mom that I'm quitting. Thankfully I found out that The Kid's Math grade improved under my care (wtf Math?) so I can say that me teaching him was not a total disaster. I wasn't able to bully him into reading a book though, tsk tsk.
Aaaand the mom was rather nice about it. Well she was never not nice so I really shouldn't have worried about her reaction. Actually their whole household's nice, though The Kid can be very daunting to work with (I almost cried last week and today haha--huhuhuhu). But he does have his moments, and I really like talking with him during Hekasi time (FFF yeah, someone to talk about North Korea with \o/).
Hooray, my dad's "wag mong hayaang yurakin nila ang iyong dangal" fears were unfounded♥
According to his mom, The Kid's very ~emotional~. I'm not supposed to tell him that it's my last day tomorrow, as he might become depressed during his break. Um WHAT. I doubt he'd miss me; we have had such horrible moments.
On an semi-related note (because my money comes from the tutorials), I'm doing Christmas shopping tomorrow. Or on Thursday, I dunno. I was supposed to save all my earnings for the Hong Kong trip on January, but I doubt that it'll push through. Ah well I don't really mind.
PS Dita von Teese is on the ANTM re-run tomorrow! DvT is a stripper, but when she's wearing clothes she's fab♥ OH and ANTM Season 7 is totes boring.

Last night, I was chatting with
parikala , which was supposed to be about the doujins we were scanlating, when we ended up talking about Vocaloids instead. I told her that I couldn't stand the synthesized voices, but every now and then, when I hear them sing a good song, I just look for the Nico Nico version (random, real people who upload their "uttate mita" e.g. covers) and it's all good.
So,
parikala links me to Campanella, a song for Gumi, and asks if the song had the same meaning as the video - we tried finding a translation around the 'net, but didn't find any (there probably is one, but google-fu did nothing). So I tell her I can translate it, since I noticed there were a lot of repeated lines anyway.
Here's mysuckyamateur attempt at song translation:

Fact #3: Tokyo is the #1 Most Expensive City to Live In The World. Which means that I am not exactly living a life of luxury here a.k.a. I don't have cash to spare. The amount I receive for scholarship is 80,000 yen per month. I pay 50,000 yen monthly for the dorm. It's a good thing my parents were wonderful enough to shoulder the dorm rent for the first semester, but this semester I don't want to ask for too much money because of what just happened A.K.A. The Typhoon Ondoy. I also bought a laptop to prepare for my thesis next year. My sister is coming over to visit, and we are going to travel and I want to treat her and stuff because she always treats me back in the Philippines.
NORMALLY I WOULDN'T REVEAL THIS SHIT, BUT I SAY THIS BECAUSE:
My inbox has been filled with to the brim with "please buy me this" requests. I've already bought omiyage for all of my close friends and family so if you want me to buy you something I need the money immediately. Simply contact me and you can send the money over to my bank account, or contact my sister and she might be able to bring it home for you. Also I will take note of the weight. If it's too heavy or if the packaging is too big I won't be able to bring it home with me because so many people have already asked me to buy things for them. In that case, please include money for the delivery fee.
For AME and ASTERISK people, I already have omiyage for you guys. For special requests, refer to above. If I love you though, it should be all right.
To the person who wanted me to buy a bag for them from Harajuku, fuck you.
If I haven't seen you in 430526 years and you appear all of a sudden with a request, fuck you too.
GODDAMNIT I hate this fucking general Asian trait. Jesus Christ I have a migraine now.
Fact #4: I don't want anyone to know you because if they did, they'll reduce you to a mere object and you're too good for that. I am not worthy of you at all.

This year's FC-CPH Christmas party would be the first event I would attend with much less involvement as of last year, mainly because of my huge workload at the office. I opted to help out as a volunteer than an organizer, mainly giving others a chance to take the helm of organizing an FC-CPH party.
This year's Christmas party was held at Studio-Z, Katipunan Road, Q.C., in the building where GameCrab used to be (I heard they moved to Burgandy Building).
There were the usual hardships on the journey of providing a place and reason for FC-CPH members to gather and enjoy each other's company, but we managed to push it despite the odds. And just like last year and every other year before it, the success wasnt just because of the people behind the party, but for those who came and supported it.
So in behalf of FilCosplay Forums and Cosplay.ph, a big warm Thank You! Now, on the the pictures (which, btw, is courtesy of Erving, who deserves a big Thank You too!)
Jewel as usual was leading the Food Committee with Geomi and Aaron (who needed to leave early, but was there with the setup). Food this time was well balanced, and surprisingly not much meat in the menu (but the pancits were yummy!). Jewel also brought out her cookies from her SweetGeeks menu, and the Little Men were the top favorite.
Games Committee was led by Leizel, or more known as Zeiri Elle of the forums. She volunteered to lead the committee with her friend, and Markpoa and I lend a helping hand setting things up. She introduced a brand new game in the party, the Ball & String game, which required getting balls into a cup using only a ball of string. Its a hard challenge, but it didnt take the teams more than 15 minutes to tackle it.
Reception Committee was led by Frappuccino this time around. My apologies for Maui-sempai for not being able to host but I hope we made up by giving you a good time watching Jit dress up in the On The Spot Costume challenge.
Speaking of which...

The teams are getting pretty creative these days. Karlonne won Most Beautiful, btw. XD
Prizes were surprisingly bountiful, as official japan anime posters were given away by TVC-5, and prizes contributed by the admins, mods and members. Special shoutout goes to Wilbert, aka Sabakattou, for giving out a huge amount of toys and knick-knacks which includes stuff toys and keychains. Zaerone was leading the Prizes Committee like last year, was able to arrange the whole pile into manageable sizes, plus we has so much giveaways for raffle, the raffling actually was repeated the second around, so some members won twice.
Although the theme was suppose to be Disco All The Way, not many people went there wearing their disco inspired attire, but the music provided the ambiance with Jason, Hades and Adz curiously large collection of disco music (i wonder why?) hehehe. Jason however had to go as far as Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall just to get a copy of disco collections, which leaves Hades and Adz holding the bar explaining their own collections.

As per tradition, all guests are color coded randomly and group together to form teams, who must muster all their teamwork spirit to see who wins this years Best Team for 2009. And its tradition they make brand new team names for themselves based on the theme, thus what you see above. For this year it was blue team Machoty. So my congratulations!

So in the end we had our usual group picture. The party officially started at 1pm and ended at 630pm, with the members cleaning up after themselves and organizers finally getting a breather. So again, thank you guys for supporting FC and Cosplay.ph for another year and hoping you will do so again on our upcoming Summer Party and Christmas Party this 2010. Just like what i said at the end of the post-production meeting of organizers and volunteers: "Thank you for your support, and i hope you will still continue to support FC and Cosplay.ph until the end of the world... on 2012!"
They didnt find it funny so i just kept quiet, ehe.

1. In memory of John's 29th Death Anniversary my friend
yammiedoo and I decided to go to the JOHN LENNON MUSEUM in Saitama, Japan. Here are some of the photos taken by the both of us. :) (She took the pretty ones, I took the crap ones.) I hope you guys enjoy them!

That's me being a typical schmoopy tourist...and a huuuuge!John

beatlepics!
I was spazzing all throughout the museum tour. Also, I am very very happy! I got a WAR IS OVER (IF YOU WANT IT) shirt that's just the right size, some postcards, and a huge-ass poster of the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover, something I've ALWAYS wanted. Also, even if I giggled over John, George, and Ringo in the museum there were moments where I would just caress Paul whenever he was shown, haha. I think I'm a closet-Paul pervert.
2. Probably the best Christmas gift: My sister
kotomine is coming over here in Tokyo to visit for the holidays! ♥♥♥ She's staying here for a week. I'm taking her on my very special Inexpensive Porntastic Tour. And oh, to some temples. Yay!
3. In a fit of inspiration I finally finished all the Christmas Art Gift requests for you horny bastards. And based on what I've done (nudity, nudity, and more nudity) I'm thinking this is the naughtiest Christmas yet! :P
4. Thank you thank you thank you thank you to everyone who gave me snowflake cookies, and to
ashlynwashere for the very thoughtful Christmas card!
